LETTERFORM

One letter design a day for 36 days, from A to Z, and 0 to 9.

36 Days of Type is a 36-day celebration of typography and creativity, involving designers, visual artists, and creatives from all fields in a global and simultaneous act of creativity around type and letterforms.

For my very first challenge entry, I developed two different typefaces. Both designs executed in a pixelated look, but form different families. One script and one serif font with cutting contrasts, whirling together in an (im)perfect harmony.

36 DAYS OF TYPE

The image shows the cover page of a type specimen book titled 'Monica'. The title appears in two different fonts; the top in a simple serif font, and the bottom in an ornamental and decorative style with flourishes. In the bottom left corner, it says '36 Days of Type, 10th Edition'. In the bottom right corner, it says '2023'. The page is mostly white with black text.
